Bristol Theatres & Cinemas

Bristol's performance landscape ranges from the 18th-century Bristol Old Vic—the oldest continuously working theatre in the English-speaking world—to the Grade II listed concert hall at Bristol Beacon. The city hosts large-scale West End productions at the Bristol Hippodrome, while independent venues like Watershed and The Cube Microplex focus on arthouse cinema and community-led events. Smaller spaces, including The Room Above and university-owned studio theatres, provide platforms for experimental work and emerging talent.
