Best of Budapest

A first-time visitor's walk through Budapest's essential sights, from Castle Hill down to the Danube and across into Pest. You will stand at Fisherman's Bastion beside Matthias Church, see the Royal Palace, cross the Chain Bridge, pause at the Shoes on the Danube memorial, view the Parliament, cross Liberty Square, and visit St. Stephen's Basilica, the Opera House and, as a finale, the Great Synagogue. The walk starts at Fisherman's Bastion on Szentháromság tér, reached on bus 16 from Deák Ferenc tér, or on foot from Széll Kálmán tér metro station.
