Pietà Essentials

Floriana serves as the historic gateway to Valletta, characterized by its deep-set fortifications and grand open spaces. This selection features the ornate Portes des Bombes gateway and the neo-Gothic Robert Samut Hall. Visitors can explore the Argotti Botanical Gardens, once a private retreat for the Knights of St. John, and the Msida Bastion Historic Garden Cemetery, which offers views over Marsamxett Harbour. Il-Bieb tal-Bombi

An ornate Baroque arched gateway, also known as Porte des Bombes, built in 1721 during the reign of Grand Master Ramon Perellos y Roccaful as part of the Floriana Lines.

Msida Bastion Cemetery

A former Protestant cemetery used between 1806 and 1856. It contains the grave of Mikiel Anton Vassalli and features neoclassical monuments overlooking Marsamxett Harbour.
