Fort William's Essential Highland Experiences

Fort William serves as the central hub for the Scottish Highlands, situated at the base of Ben Nevis. This selection highlights the engineering of Neptune’s Staircase on the Caledonian Canal and the 13th-century ruins of Inverlochy Castle. Cultural landmarks include the West Highland Museum, focused on Jacobite history, and the Ben Nevis Distillery, which has produced single malt whisky since 1825.
