Gubbio’s religious landscape is defined by its deep connection to Saint Francis and its patron, Saint Ubaldo. A 13th-century Gothic church constructed on the former estate of the Spadalonga family, who sheltered Saint Francis. The interior features a significant cycle of 15th-century frescoes by Ottaviano Nelli depicting the life of the Virgin.
