Majestic Peaks and Alpine Huts
The Karavanks range, stretching along the border of Slovenia and Austria, features prominent limestone massifs including Stol, the highest peak at 2,236 meters, and the flora-rich slopes of Golica. This collection highlights essential alpine infrastructure, from high-altitude lodges like the Prešeren Lodge to the historic Valvasorjev dom. These sites provide access to traditional regional cuisine in mountain huts and established trails across the Obir massif and the easternmost peaks near Mount St. Ursula.
A Bertahütte
Alpine mountain hut owned by the Villach section of the Austrian Alpine Club. Located at 1,567 meters above sea level, it serves regional cuisine and offers views of the Mittagskogel.

E Prešeren Lodge at Stol
The Prešeren Lodge at Stol is a mountain hut on the southern side of Mt. Stol in the Karawanks, just below the peak of Little Stol.
F Koča na Golici
Alpine hut located on the southern slope of Mount Golica at 1,582 meters. It is a primary base for viewing the mountain's famous wild narcissus fields in May.
G Planinski dom na Zelenici
Mountain lodge at the Zelenica Pass (1,536 meters), situated between the border ridge of Na Možeh and the Begunjščica massif. It includes Wi-Fi and serves as a mountain safety training center.
H Koča v Grohatu pod Raduho
Mountain hut in the municipality of Solčava, located at 1,460 meters in the Grohat alpine pasture beneath the northern walls of Mount Raduha.

K Sveti Peter
A viewpoint at 839 meters featuring the 16th-century Church of St. Peter. It offers views of the Sava Valley, Lake Bled, and the Julian Alps.
L Hochobir
Hochobir, with its peak at 2,139 m, is the highest mountain in the Obir massif, located in the northern Karawanks range.
M Golica
Golica is a peak in the Western Karawanks, on the border between Slovenia and Austria, above the Slovene town of Jesenice.
Valvasorjev dom pod Stolom
Mountain hut located at 1,181 meters on the southern slope of Mount Stol. It has been frequently recognized in national polls as one of the most popular mountain huts in Slovenia.
O Ferlacher Horn
