Nemrut Mountain National Park Essentials

Located in southeastern Turkey, Nemrut Mountain National Park centers on the 1st-century BC funerary sanctuary of King Antiochus I of Commagene. This UNESCO World Heritage site is defined by a 50-meter-high tumulus flanked by colossal stone statues of Greco-Persian deities. The surrounding landscape includes the summer capital at Arsameia, the royal burial site of Karakuş Tumulus, and the well-preserved Roman engineering of the Severan Bridge, representing the intersection of Hellenistic and Persian cultures.

West terrace
