Pebble Beaches
Nice’s coastline is defined by the seven-kilometer Promenade des Anglais, a historic walkway commissioned by the English aristocracy in the 1820s. The shore consists primarily of smooth grey pebbles, known locally as galets, which characterize the Baie des Anges. This selection includes public stretches like Plage de la Réserve and established private beach clubs such as Beau Rivage, which provide amenities like restaurants, sunbed rentals, and wooden pontoons for easier water access.
Castel Beach
The largest and most popular beach in Nice. Good news for those who don't fancy sand - the beach is laid with soft stone pebbles.
Plage de la Réserve
A small gravel beach located east of the port, known for deep waters and proximity to the historic Le Plongeoir diving boards. It is a popular spot for locals seeking a quieter alternative to the central promenade.
