Nové Hrady features a dense collection of historical sites centered around the Buquoy family legacy. The town is home to a 13th-century Gothic castle, an Empire-style chateau, and a Neo-Gothic mausoleum. Nearby, the Terčino údolí landscape park offers an educational trail leading to an artificial waterfall and the Cuknštejn fortress, one of Bohemia's best-preserved late-Gothic strongholds.
