Östergötland’s landscape is defined by its medieval heritage and the engineering feat of the Göta Canal. This collection highlights the 12th-century Cistercian ruins of Alvastra Abbey and the Renaissance Vadstena Castle on Lake Vättern. In Linköping, the 12th-century Gothic cathedral and the open-air museum of Gamla Linköping provide insight into Swedish history.
