Sydney’s coastline features a diverse mix of world-famous surf breaks, historic ocean pools, and secluded harbor inlets. This selection spans from the iconic golden sands of Bondi and Manly to the rugged surfing reserve of Maroubra. It includes heritage-listed ocean baths like the 1887 Bronte Baths and the Bondi Icebergs, alongside tranquil spots like Milk Beach and the sheltered waters of Clovelly. Many of these locations are linked by the scenic Bondi to Coogee coastal walk, offering accessible routes to view sandstone cliffs and harbor panoramas.

Bondi Beach

World-renowned sandy beach known for its golden sands, surfing conditions, and significance in Australian surf culture. It features coastal views and is designated as a national monument.

Manly Beach

Two-kilometre stretch of golden sand divided into three main sections: Queenscliff, North Steyne, and South Steyne. It hosted the world's first surfing contest in 1964 and connects to nearby areas via scenic foreshore walks.

Coogee Beach

One of the more popular beaches, this golden strand of sand is well-facilitated and perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and enjoying the sun.

Bronte Beach

Bronte Beach is a small but popular recreational beach in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, Australia.

Bronte Baths

Built in 1887, this historic saltwater swimming pool is carved into the sandstone cliffs at the southern end of Bronte Beach, providing a sheltered swimming area protected from the ocean's swell.

Milk Beach

A small, secluded harbor beach located at the base of Hermit Bay within Sydney Harbour National Park. It offers direct views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and is accessible via the Hermitage Foreshore Track.

MacCallum Pool (sea water)

A heritage-listed sea-water pool on the western side of Cremorne Point. Originally created by local residents in the 1920s, it features a wooden deck and panoramic views across the harbor to the city skyline.

Tamarama Beach

Though not particularly swimmer-friendly, surfers can put on a spectacular show here thanks to the extraordinary waves.

Clovelly Beach

This sheltered beach is perfect for both swimming and snorkelling. The surrounding scenery is also beautiful.

Bondi Icebergs Olympic Pool

A historic 50-meter saltwater pool at the southern end of Bondi Beach. Home to the Bondi Icebergs Winter Swimming Club since 1929, the pool is known for waves crashing over its edge during high tide.

Lady Bay Beach

Located near South Head within the Sydney Harbour National Park, this small, secluded cove is one of Sydney’s few officially designated clothing-optional beaches.

Maroubra Beach

The sand seems to stretch on forever on this beach that is one of the most popular surfer spots in Australia. Worth the visit.
