Syria's diverse topography includes the snow-capped heights of Mount Hermon in the Anti-Lebanon range and the volcanic landscapes of Jabal ad Duruz. This collection highlights significant geological features, from the ancient basaltic formations of Tulul Umm ruqaybah to the expansive Lake Homs, fed by the Orontes River. The list also features prominent archaeological mounds known as tells and rugged limestone cliffs overlooking the seasonal wadis of the western highlands.
