Jujuy’s ecclesiastical architecture showcases the fusion of Spanish colonial design and indigenous craftsmanship, known as Andean-Baroque. These historic structures, dating primarily from the 17th and 18th centuries, are constructed with thick adobe walls, cactus wood (cardón) ceilings, and mud-tiled roofs.
