Alpine Huts of Rauris
The Rauris Valley, historically known for gold mining, features a network of high-altitude shelters and traditional dairy farms. This selection includes the Zittelhaus, perched atop the 3,106-meter Hoher Sonnblick alongside Europe’s highest permanent meteorological station. Zittelhaus
Managed by the Austrian Alpine Club, this hut sits at 3,106 meters on the summit of Hoher Sonnblick. It shares the peak with a high-altitude meteorological observatory.
Gainschniggalm
A traditional alpine dairy hut located at 1,740 meters in the Kolm Saigurn area, offering local products and views of the Goldberg Group.
Naturfreundehaus Kolm-Saigurn
Situated at 1,598 meters at the head of the valley, this Naturfreunde shelter is located in a former gold mining district at the foot of Hoher Sonnblick.
Rojacher Hütte
