Stuttgart Essentials

Stuttgart blends industrial prowess with historic elegance. This selection highlights the city's automotive legacy at the high-tech Porsche and Mercedes-Benz museums. Architectural landmarks range from the futuristic, minimalist Municipal Library and the 216-meter TV Tower to the Rococo Solitude Palace and the Baroque New Palace on Schlossplatz. Visitors can explore the 19th-century New State Gallery, the medieval Old Castle, or the diverse flora and fauna at Wilhelma zoological-botanical garden. The list is rounded out by the culinary variety of the Markthalle and the scenic Sepulchral Chapel overlooking the Württemberg vineyards.
