Bodø nor's Essential Wonders

Saltstraumen

Saltstraumen or Stuorstrávve is a small strait with one of the strongest tidal currents in the world.

Bodø domkirke

Completed in 1956, this functionalist cathedral features a 36-meter detached bell tower and a 12-meter stained glass window. It was built to replace the city's previous church destroyed during WWII.

Hunstad kirke

Modern church completed in 2013, integrated into the Hunstad Kultursenter. It serves as a contemporary religious and community hub for the eastern part of the city.

Kjerringøy kirke

A wooden cross-church dating to 1883, situated near the historic Kjerringøy trading post. It reflects late-19th-century architectural styles common in rural Nordland.
