Castles of Bolzano

Bolzano's strategic location in South Tyrol resulted in a high concentration of medieval fortifications and noble residences. This collection features Runkelstein Castle, renowned for its extensive cycle of secular medieval frescoes, and Sigmundskron Castle, home to the Messner Mountain Museum Firmian.
