Denali National Park Essentials

Denali National Park and Preserve contains over 400 named glaciers covering one million acres of the Alaska Range. This list highlights the park's most significant ice formations, including the 44-mile-long Kahiltna Glacier, the longest in the range. This collection features established campgrounds and RV sites situated along the Denali Park Road and near the park entrance. Options range from full-hookup facilities at Denali Rainbow Village to remote, tent-only sites at Wonder Lake at Mile 85. Several locations, such as Teklanika and Savage River, provide direct access to the Alaska Range and glacial rivers. Note that private vehicle access is restricted beyond Mile 15, requiring campers at interior sites to utilize the park's dedicated camper bus system.
