Lakes and Wilderness

Finland’s landscape is defined by its vast water systems and protected wetlands. This collection features Lake Saimaa, the country's largest lake and home to the endangered Saimaa ringed seal. Further north, Lake Inari serves as the largest body of water in Sápmi, while Keitele anchors the Central Finland region. The list also includes the deep bogs of Torronsuo National Park, Finland's deepest raised bog, and the clear waters of Livojärvi, known for its extensive sandy beaches and ridges.

Clear-water lake in Posio known for its extensive white sandy beaches and shallow shores. The area features the Hietasuvanto beach and is surrounded by pine-covered eskers and ridges.
