Garachico's Essential Wonders

Garachico's landscape was permanently altered by the 1706 Trevejo volcanic eruption, which filled its deep-water harbor with lava. Castillo de San Miguel

Convento de la Inmaculada Concepción

A cloistered convent founded in 1643. After being destroyed by the volcanic eruption and a subsequent fire, it was rebuilt in 1749, retaining its distinctive red-tiled roof and historic belfry.
