Ljubljana Parks & Squares

Ljubljana’s urban core is defined by the architectural legacy of Jože Plečnik and a series of interconnected pedestrian zones. This collection features the central Prešernov trg with its 17th-century Franciscan Church and the modernist Square of the Republic, the site of Slovenia’s 1991 independence declaration. It spans medieval landmarks like the Town and Old Squares, the pillar-lined Cobblers' Bridge, and the University Botanical Garden, which has been in operation since 1810 and houses over 4,500 plant species.

Triple Bridge

Tromostovje refers to three bridges across the Ljubljanica River that link the historical part of the city and the modern city of Ljubljana.

Prešernov trg

Ljubljana's central pedestrian hub features the salmon-colored Franciscan Church of the Annunciation and a bronze monument to national poet France Prešeren. It serves as the primary transition point between the medieval old town and the modern city via the Triple Bridge.
