Mavrovo National Park Essentials

Mavrovo National Park encompasses the highest peaks of the Korab massif and the Radika River canyon. This protected area features the 11th-century Saint Jovan Bigorski Monastery, renowned for its intricate wood-carved iconostasis. Visitors can explore the traditional stone architecture of mountain villages like Galichnik and Janche, or visit the partially submerged Old St. Nicholas Church in Mavrovo Lake.
