Landmarks of Oman

Oman’s architectural and natural heritage spans from the Bronze Age to the 19th century. UNESCO-listed archaeological site containing the ruins of a major 11th to 15th-century trading port. The Mausoleum of Bibi Maryam remains its most prominent standing structure.

A small limestone island in the Musandam fjords. It housed a British repeater station in the 1860s used to boost telegraph signals between London and Karachi.

Bronze Age stone burial structures dating back to the 3rd millennium BC. These dry-stone masonry tombs are characteristic of the Hafit period.
