Rovaniemi’s religious landscape features a mix of mid-20th-century architecture and quiet rural chapels. The central Rovaniemi Church, rebuilt in 1950 after the Lapland War, is notable for its expansive 'Spring of Life' fresco. The collection also includes the modern Pentecostal Kairatemppeli and several Lutheran chapels such as Tavivaara, designed by architect Jorma Huusko.
