Tutong Essentials

Tutong District showcases Brunei's ecological diversity and cultural history. Tasek Merimbun, an ASEAN Heritage Park, is a unique S-shaped black water lake surrounded by peat swamp forest. Along the coast, Seri Kenangan Beach sits on a narrow spit between the Tutong River and the South China Sea. Cultural heritage is preserved at Sungai Basong Recreational Park, which features a village with traditional houses representing five local ethnic groups. For local commerce, the town's markets offer traditional Malay snacks, fresh produce, and regional handicrafts.

Tasek Merimbun

Brunei's largest lake and an ASEAN Heritage Park. The S-shaped lake is characterized by dark water caused by tannins from the surrounding peat swamp forest and features a wooden walkway leading to a central island.

Seri Kenangan Beach

Seri Kenangan Beach, also known as Tutong Beach, is a beach and spit in Kuala Tutong, Mukim Pekan Tutong, Tutong District.

Sungai Basong Recreational Park
