Općina Vrsar Essentials

Vrsar is defined by its hilltop old town and the 12-kilometer-long Lim Fjord, a protected landscape known for shellfish farming. The area features Romanesque architecture like the 12th-century Basilica of St. Mary of the Sea and the modernist Dušan Džamonja Sculpture Park. Historic viewpoints, including one named for Giacomo Casanova, overlook an archipelago of 18 uninhabited islands. Local landmarks range from the long-standing Koversada naturist park to the Dinopark in Funtana and an airfield offering panoramic flights over the Istrian coast.
