Yvoire's Medieval Charms

Perched on the southern shore of Lake Geneva, Yvoire is a fortified medieval village dating back to the early 14th century. Its strategic location led to the construction of defensive ramparts, two massive stone gates, and a prominent fortress built by Amadeus V of Savoy. Château d'Yvoire

A historic Catholic church dedicated to Saint Pancras. It is famous for its distinctive bulbous steeple, which was renovated in 1989 using stainless steel and gold leaf to withstand the lakeside elements.

Port des Pêcheurs d'Yvoire

A scenic marina on the shores of Lake Geneva used by local fishermen and private boaters. It provides a vantage point for viewing the village's lakeside fortifications and the castle's exterior.
