Alonissos

Alonissos Natural Highlights

Alonissos, the easternmost of the Northern Sporades, is defined by its rugged coastline and the surrounding National Marine Park. This selection features the island's primary geological landmarks, from the sea-carved limestone of the Blue Cave to the 475-meter summit of Kouvoúli. The list covers diverse coastal formations, including the distinctive red cliffs of Kokkinokastro, the secluded dark sands of Vithisma, and the sheltered pebble bays of Megalos Mourtias and Lephto Gyalos.

Blue Cave

Sea cave on the northeast coast accessible only by boat, characterized by white limestone walls and vibrant turquoise water reflections.

Vithisma

Secluded bay with dark sand and pebbles, accessible via a steep downhill path. It is a known location for naturism.

Kokkino

Lighthouse located on the southern coast near the entrance to the Patitiri harbor area.

Kouvoúli
