Alpine Huts & Mountain Refuges

A curated selection of alpine huts and mountain refuges across the Dolomites and adjacent ranges, featuring CAI-managed and privately run shelters, historic lodges and high-altitude bases. Entries include the Rifugio Giuseppe Volpi (Mulaz) maintained by the Venice CAI section, Latemar’s Torre di Pisa refuge, several Sextner Dolomiten huts, and traditional privately owned rifugi such as Lavaredo and Büllelejochhütte, many serving as trailheads or overnight stops for multi-day routes.
