Philippi

Philippi was a major Greek city northwest of the nearby island, Thasos.

The Castle of Kavala

A Byzantine-era fortification rebuilt by the Ottomans in the 15th century. The site includes a circular tower, an armory, and a cistern, positioned on the highest point of the Panagia peninsula.

Nkiola C

Nkiola

A natural rock-carved lagoon on the coast of Thasos. This emerald-colored pool is separated from the sea by a narrow rock wall and is replenished by crashing waves.

A beach characterized by small white marble pebbles and turquoise water. The white stones originate from the nearby marble quarry and give the seabed its distinct bright color.

Agora archaias Thasou

The ancient commercial and social center of Thasos, featuring ruins of stoas, temples, and monuments dating from the 4th century BC through the Roman period.

The tallest waterfall in the region, dropping 60 meters. It is located in the central Rodopi Mountains and is accessible via a marked hiking trail through beech forests.
