Historic Castles and Ruins
Veszprém county contains a dense concentration of medieval fortifications and ecclesiastical ruins. This collection includes the 13th-century Sümeg Castle, one of Hungary's best-preserved fortresses, and the hilltop ruins of Szigliget and Csesznek.
