Majestic Mountains and Peaks

This collection features the prominent summits and ridges surrounding Kobarid in the Julian Alps and Prealps. Highlights include Krn, the highest peak in its range, and Batognica, which retains visible fortifications and mine craters from World War I. The Stol ridge offers the longest continuous crest in the region, while the Kolovrat ridge serves as a transborder natural balcony overlooking the Soča Valley and the Friuli plane. Krn is a mountain in northwestern Slovenia. It is the highest peak of the Krn Mountains, a sub-chain of the southwestern Julian Alps.
