Majestic Mountain Passes

Ladakh's high-altitude landscape is defined by its historic mountain passes, many of which served as vital links on ancient Silk Road trade routes. This collection includes Khardung La, the gateway to the Nubra Valley, and Umling La, the world's highest motorable road at over 19,000 feet. These passes, including Gand La within Hemis National Park and the strategic Karakoram Pass on the border with China, provide essential transit points across the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges at elevations often exceeding 5,300 meters.
