Mindo Essentials

Located in the Ecuadorian Andes, Mindo is a biodiversity hotspot centered around the 19,000-hectare Nambillo Protective Forest. This selection features the Tarabita cable car crossing the Nambillo River gorge, leading to a sanctuary of seven waterfalls. Mindo Waterfalls

Located within the Nambillo Cloud Forest Reserve, these waterfalls are primarily accessed via the Tarabita cable car that spans the river valley. The 'Santuario de Cascadas' features a network of trails leading to falls of varying heights, including the 26-meter La Reina. The area is characterized by dense secondary cloud forest, natural swimming pools, and high biodiversity typical of the Chocó-Andean corridor.
