Opatija Heritage Art
Opatija’s artistic landscape spans from its historic seaside promenade to the rugged slopes of Mount Učka. This collection features the town’s iconic bronze sculptures, such as the Maiden with a Seagull, alongside memorials dedicated to local history and the National Liberation War. It also highlights the Land Art Trail Stražica – Sapaćica, where stone installations, geoglyphs, and monoliths are integrated into the karst landscape of the Učka Nature Park.
Maiden With a Seagull
Iconic bronze statue by Zvonko Car, created in 1956. Set on a promontory overlooking the sea, it has become the primary symbol of Opatija.
