World War II Memorials

This collection documents the pivotal 1942 North African Campaign through its most significant commemorative sites. The El Alamein Museum showcases original tanks, uniforms, and weaponry across dedicated national halls for Italy, Germany, Great Britain, and Egypt. The Italian War Memorial at Tell-El-Eisa, a stark white tower designed by Paolo Caccia Dominioni, serves as a major landmark housing thousands of fallen soldiers. The list includes strategic military positions like Base Quota 33 and several burial grounds, providing a focused look at the desert conflict's geographical and human toll.
