Braga's Historic Treasures

Braga’s history spans over two millennia, originating as the Roman city of Bracara Augusta. This collection features the Sé de Braga, the oldest cathedral in Portugal, showcasing a blend of Romanesque and Manueline architecture. It includes the 7th-century Visigothic Chapel of São Frutuoso and the Roman-era Fonte do Idolo, a rare sanctuary dedicated to indigenous deities.
