Regional Heritage & Landmarks
This collection highlights the diverse historical and geological heritage of the Liberec Region. It features architectural milestones like the Baroque Neptune Fountain and the Augustinian monastery in Vrchlabí alongside technical feats such as the Harrachov ski flying hill and the 16th-century Ploučnice Gap. Natural wonders like the Devil’s Wall basalt formation complement sacred sites, including the Way of the Cross in Kamenický Šenov and various Baroque churches and plague columns that define the local landscape.
Neptune Fountain
A Baroque sandstone fountain on Liberec's main square, featuring a statue of Neptune with a trident. It was created in 1826 to replace an older wooden structure.
Mamutí můstek
One of the world's few active ski flying hills, located on the slopes of Čertova hora. The K-185 hill was completed in 1980 for international competitions.
Průrva Ploučnice
An artificial tunnel and gorge carved into sandstone rock near Noviny pod Ralskem. This 16th-century technical monument was designed to direct water to a local iron mill.
Čertova zeď
A unique geological formation near Český Dub consisting of a basalt dike. This national natural monument stretches for several kilometers, appearing as a massive stone wall.
sv. Mikuláš
An early Baroque church located in Bílý Kostel nad Nisou, dating back to the late 17th century. It features a distinctive tower and serves as a local architectural landmark.
Kostel Svatého ducha
A Baroque church in Nové Město pod Smrkem, originally built between 1607 and 1611. It represents the historical development of the town's religious architecture.
Svatý Augustin
Part of the former Augustinian monastery complex in Vrchlabí, this Baroque church was designed by architect Jean-Baptiste Mathey and completed in the early 18th century.
Sloup Nejsvětější Trojice
A Baroque plague column in Zákupy from 1708. The sandstone monument is decorated with elaborate statues of the Holy Trinity and various patron saints.
Památník vzniku Československa
A stone monument in Jablonec nad Nisou commemorating the declaration of the independent Czechoslovak state in October 1918.
Křížová cesta
