George Town Street Art

George Town’s street art scene gained international fame following the 2012 George Town Festival, when artist Ernest Zacharevic created several interactive murals. These works often blend painted figures with physical objects like bicycles and chairs. Complementing the murals is the 'Marking George Town' project, featuring over 50 steel-rod caricatures by Sculptureatwork. These sculptures are installed across the UNESCO World Heritage site, illustrating local history, traditional trades, and street names through humor and creative metalwork.
