Malargüe’s landscapes range from high-altitude Andean lagoons like Laguna Blanca and Laguna del Valle to the sedimentary rock formations of Castillos de Pincheira, sculpted by wind and water erosion. The region also features the Dique Gobernador Blas Brisoli, a dam on the Malargüe River known for its trout farm. Within the city, Parque Central and Plaza Islas Malvinas provide landscaped green spaces and memorials, while remote natural reserves offer habitats for diverse bird species including Andean flamingos.
