Miskolc’s architectural landscape is defined by its diverse religious and defensive structures. This collection features the four-towered medieval Castle of Diósgyőr and the distinctive Transylvanian-style Wooden Church. Religious heritage spans several denominations, including the Greek Orthodox Church—home to one of Central Europe’s largest iconostases—the Baroque St. Anne’s Church, and the Greek Catholic Cathedral. The list also includes the 18th-century Bárczay Mansion and the preserved 13th-century ruins of a Benedictine monastery in Miskolc-Tapolca.
