Ojców Essentials

Ojców National Park, the smallest in Poland, features a landscape of white limestone formations and medieval history within the Prądnik Valley. This selection includes the 14th-century Ojców Castle ruins, part of the Eagle's Nests defense system, and the iconic Kraków Gate rock formation. Visitors can explore the Dark Cave (Jaskinia Ciemna), an important archaeological site, and King Łokietek’s Cave, where legend says a Polish king hid from invaders. The list also highlights the Chapel on the Water, built over the stream to bypass a Tsarist prohibition on land-based construction.
