Lakes and Waterfalls

The Pyrenees National Park features a diverse collection of glacial lakes and dramatic waterfalls shaped by the region's steep granite terrain. This selection spans from the hydroelectric reservoirs of the Val d’Azun, such as Lac du Tech, to high-altitude glacial basins like Lac Glacé near the Vignemale massif. The list includes accessible falls near Cauterets and Gavarnie, as well as remote cascades in the Ossau and Aspe valleys, highlighting the unique hydrology of the French-Spanish border range.

Cascade de Lutour

Waterfall located in the Lutour valley near Cauterets, accessible via a short walk from La Fruitière.

Cascade de Letz

Mountain waterfall situated in the Néouvielle massif area.

Cascade du Terrail

Waterfall located in the Gavarnie valley, fed by snowmelt from the surrounding high peaks.
