Rhodope Natural Wonders

The Rhodope Mountains in the southern Balkans are home to significant karst formations and ancient Thracian sites. This collection features the highest peak, Golyam Perelik, alongside deep river gorges and extensive cave systems like Yagodinska and Devil’s Throat. Highlights include the 60-meter Livaditis Waterfall, the region's tallest, and unique archaeological landmarks such as the Womb Cave (Utrobata), a prehistoric sanctuary carved to align with solar cycles.
