Scheveningen Essentials

Scheveningen combines its maritime heritage with high-profile international institutions. The 19th-century Kurhaus hotel and the 1875 lighthouse stand as landmarks of the classic Dutch coast, while the Peace Palace and International Criminal Court represent The Hague's global significance. Visitors can explore Madurodam’s detailed miniatures, visit the seaside Fairytale Sculptures, or walk along the North Beach. Modern additions like the Pier and its ferris wheel offer views of the North Sea, complemented by the maritime history preserved at Muzee Scheveningen and performances at the Circustheater.
