Toktogul Reservoir Essentials

This collection highlights the industrial and cultural landscape surrounding the Toktogul Reservoir, Kyrgyzstan's largest hydroelectric project. Centered on the Naryn River, the list features the massive 215-meter-high dam and the adjacent town of Kara-Kul, known as the city of power engineers. It includes the KASKAD museum, documenting the engineering history of the Naryn Cascade, alongside local landmarks like the Halif Salim Ali mosque and Shurubek market. These sites offer insight into the Soviet-era planning and contemporary life in this vital energy hub.
