Akamas Ruins and Archaeological Sites

The Necropolis at Meletis Forest

A collection of ancient rock-cut tombs dating back to the Hellenistic and Roman periods. These burial chambers are carved into the natural limestone within the forested area near Pegeia, illustrating regional funerary architecture.

Pyrgos tis Rigainas

Medieval ruins situated on the Akamas plateau, believed to be the remains of a 12th-century monastery or manor. The site is traditionally associated with the legendary Queen of Cyprus and sits near a centuries-old oak tree.
