Cala d'Or's Essential Coves

Cala d'Or is defined by its collection of narrow, pine-fringed inlets known as 'calas.' This selection highlights the region's diverse shoreline, from the Blue Flag-rated Cala Gran and Cala Ferrera to the secluded, facility-free Cala Serena. Beyond the sandy beaches, the area features the 18th-century military fortification of Es Fortí, which originally guarded the marina entrance. These sheltered Mediterranean spots are characterized by shallow turquoise waters and fine white sand, offering varied environments for snorkeling and swimming.

Cala d'Or Beach

If you're in a mood for a nice, relaxing day on a beach, Cala d'Or's clear water definitely won't disappoint.

Cala Mitjana

Secluded inlet with turquoise waters, accessible via a walking path through pine forests. It remains largely undeveloped and is bordered by private estates.

Cala Gran Beach

This beach has been awarded the blue flag and is very popular with both locals and tourists. Also great for families.

Cala Esmeralda Beach

Great small beach with fine sand and crystal clear water. Perfect for families with children.

Cala sa Nau

Narrow, S-shaped cove enclosed by limestone cliffs and pine trees. The white sandy beach is known for its clear water and natural surroundings.

Cala Serena Beach

Tiny sandy beach, which makes for a great escape from the tourists. Unlike the other beaches in the resort, there are no facilities around.

Cala Ferrerra Beach

Awarded with a Blue Flag in 2012, this beach offers good snorkelling conditions

Caló D'es Pou Es Forti

Sandy beach located near the Es Fortí district and the marina entrance. It features calm waters and a shoreline partially shaded by palm trees.

Es Fortí

18th-century military fortress built in 1730 to protect the coast from pirate attacks. It features original stone structures and overlooks the entrance to Cala Llonga.
