This collection spans over a millennium of defensive and architectural history in Central Macedonia. The list also includes the hilltop ruins of Rentina Castle, which once guarded the Via Egnatia, and the 76-meter OTE Tower, a modern landmark representing the region's contemporary telecommunications infrastructure.

Byzantine Castle of Rentina
