Backcountry Camping Trails

This collection features essential backcountry camping zones within Garnet Canyon in Grand Teton National Park. These sites serve as primary base camps for mountaineers attempting to summit the Grand, Middle, and South Tetons. Elevations range from subalpine meadows to the high-altitude Lower Saddle at 11,600 feet. Each zone offers distinct terrain, including rocky glacial moraines, natural boulder shelters at the Caves, and designated tent platforms designed to protect fragile alpine vegetation.

Platform Campsites
